The Dietetics Mentorship Program (DMP) supports dietetic interns and dietitians in Canada to succeed in the field of dietetics. Our aim is to empower you to make the best choices for yourself; to find confidence and meaning in your studies and career.
Savannah Lillian is a registered dietitian currently practicing in Ontario, Canada with an undergraduate degree in Human Nutrition from the University of Guelph. During this time, Savannah worked with the Supported Learning Group (SLG) Peer Mentorship Program to support students with traditionally challenging courses. Following this, Savannah completed her Masters in Public Health with specialization in nutrition and dietetics at the University of Toronto and graduated in 2019. Since then, she has engaged with a variety of practice areas in public health, clinical, private practice, academia, and research. Some of her recent employers include Diabetes Canada and the University Health Network. Currently, Savannah continues to promote mentorship opportunities by volunteering at the University of Toronto Department of Nutritional Sciences Mentorship Program and the Dalla Lana School of Public Health Graduate Mentorship Program.
I'm so excited to share this mentorship program with you and help support interns and nutrition professionals with their career journeys. I found navigating this field can be challenging alone, and having a mentor that's available to support you along the way can help ease these stressful moments and provide a sense of belonging and community. Some of my hobbies include traveling, running, playing the saxophone, and of course eating amazing food! If you're a current dietetic intern or recent graduate looking for some study help with your licensing exam or a current RD looking for career planning and support, then this program is for you.
Looking forward to working together!
Thanks for reading,
Savannah Lillian
